TOOL 02Make the resources visible
A small project.
A clearer budget.
List what your project needs, estimate each cost and see what remains unfunded. Requested support stays separate until it is confirmed.

1. Estimate your expenses
Use up to two decimal places. A completely empty row is ignored; partially completed rows need all three fields. Enter zero for a no-cost item. Include taxes and delivery as separate rows.
2. Separate the funding
Add an expense to begin. Requested funding will not reduce the gap.
How the numbers work
Show the gap.
Keep the assumptions.
Line cost = quantity × unit cost. Each line rounds to the nearest US cent before the total is calculated. The gap is estimated expenses minus confirmed funds, with a minimum of zero. Any confirmed funds above the estimate appear separately.
Prices are your estimates. The tool does not look up prices, add tax automatically or check whether a funder will allow an expense. Record your quotes and their dates elsewhere; check the actual program rules before making a funding request.
Quantity and unit cost are limited to 100,000 per field, with up to 20 expense rows. Funding entries are limited to $10,000,000. This is a small-project planning tool, not accounting software.
